  • Individuals using the Arizona voter registration form who do not provide proof of citizenship will be registered as a “Federal Only” voter unless a valid Arizona driver’s license is matched with MVD.
  • Individuals filling out a Federal Voter Registration Form will be registered as “Federal Only” voters unless a valid Arizona driver’s license is matched with MVD, in which case they will be registered as a full voter for state and federal elections.

Disclaimer: Save a tree by using! When registering to vote for the first time or when updating their existing voter registration, Arizona voters now have the ability to opt-in to receive a state-issued publicity pamphlet by email verses traditional mail.  Voters must complete the entire voter registration process through ServiceArizona in order to sign up for the pamphlet, and will receive a confirmation email indicating all registration preferences selected including their opt-in selection. It is the goal of the Recorder’s office to Increase Voter Registration in Apache County to 60,000 by 2020. We currently have 47,106 Active Voters and 3,467 Inactive Voters

Voter Registration Questions and Answers:
Q: Who can register to vote?
A: Every resident of the state is qualified to register to vote if that person:

  1. Is a citizen of the United States.
  2. Will be eighteen years of age or more on or before the date of the next regular general election.
  3. Has been a resident of the STATE prior to twenty-nine days before the election.
  4. Is able to write his/her mark, unless prevented from doing so due to a physical disability.
  5. Has not been convicted of a felony, unless restored to civil rights.
  6. Has not been adjudicated an incapacitated person.
