The courts in Arizona have three levels:

  • Limited Jurisdiction Courts,
  • Appellate Courts,
  • Superior Court

Arizona has branches in each of our 15 counties.

Limited Jurisdiction Courts are called Justice Courts and Municipal Courts. The Limited Jurisdiction Courts handle criminal and civil traffic violations, misdemeanor crimes, small claims, civil complaints under a monetary value of $10,000, landlord / tenant evictions, orders of protection, and injunctions against harassment.

Puerco Justice Court – During the COVID-19 outbreak our office will remain open to the public via phone only Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Payments can be made by calling our office at 928-688-2729 or online at azcourtpay.com. The Navajo Nation currently has a curfew, urging Navajo people to stay home. For updates, you may visit azcentral.com or azfamily.com.
