NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND AGENDA OF THE
APACHE COUNTY JAIL DISTRICT  
HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
December 6, 2016

1.  Discussion and possible approval to authorize the re-employment of Carlson John, Jr. to the position of Detention Officer I, per the Apache County Human Resources Policy.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND AGENDA OF
THE APACHE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
December 6, 2016

1.  County Manager: Discussion and possible approval of CONSENT ITEMS: All items indicated by an asterisk (*) will be handled by a single vote as part of the consent agenda, unless a Board Member or the County Manager objects at the time the agenda item is called.

County Manager/Clerk of the Board:

*A.  Request approval of demands as distributed to the Apache County Board of Supervisors between November 15, 2016 and December 6, 2016. Demands are payments made or to be made, by the County. Specific details of the demands may be requested through the County public record request process.

*B.  Request approval of minutes dated November 15, 2016 and November 22, 2016.

*C.  District II: Request approval to purchase food for the Ft. Defiance, Tselani/Cottonwood and Tsaile Senior Citizen Centers, at a not to exceed cost of $1,700.

Personnel Items:

*D.  Assessor’s Office: Notification of the retirement of Charles Jenson effective December 15, 2016 and request approval to payout the sick leave balance in accordance with the Apache County Human Resources Policy 3.25.

2.   Election Department: Based on the recommendation of the Republican Party County Chairman, Thomas Samoff, determine vacancies exist in the office of precinct committeeman and appoint the following: For Vernon Precinct: Mike Humphrey and Irene Humphrey for the Nutrioso Precinct: Roger Smith and Jessie Tanner Smith, for the Concho Precinct: Barry Weller, for the St. Michaels Precinct: Wilson Deschine, and for the Round Valley Precinct: Dorothy D. LeSueur. This item was tabled from the November 15, 2016 meeting.

3.  District III: Discussion and possible action or establishment and/or assignment of custodial responsibilities for oversight and reconciliation of current and future back accounts opened under the umbrella of the Apache County Tax Identification Number.

4.  Notification of the Eastern Arizona Counties Association meeting on December 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the County Supervisors Association (CSA) building, 1905 W. Washington Street, in Phoenix, followed by the Small Counties Forum meeting on December 14, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the CSA building, 1905 W. Washington Street, in Phoenix and on December 15, 2016 the County Supervisors Association meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the CSA building, 1905 W. Washington Street, in Phoenix where two or more members of the Apache County Board of Supervisors may be in attendance.

5.  Call to the Public: Individuals may address the Board on any relevant issue for an amount of time determined by the Chairman. At the close of the call to the public, Board members may not respond to any comments but may respond to criticism, ask staff to review a matter, or ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda.
