Voter Registration Questions

Q: Who can register to vote?

A: Every resident of the state is qualified to register to vote if that person:

  1. Is a citizen of the United States
  2. Will be eighteen years of age or more on or before the date of the next regular general election
  3. Will have been a resident of the state twenty-nine days next preceding the election
  4. Is able to write his or her name or make his or her mark, unless prevented from so doing by physical disability
  5. felony, unless restored to civil rights
  6. Has not been adjudicated an incapacitated person

A: Voter registration forms are available at www.co.apache.az.us/recorder, the Apache County Recorder’s web site.  Forms are also available at the recorder’s Office, the Navajo Election Administration’s offices, Chapter Houses, the Motor Vehicle Department and the Post Offices.  Forms may also be found at www.sos.state.az.us, the Arizona Secretary of State’s web site.
