Following a lunch at the X Diamond Ranch, the Apache County Board of Supervisors will tour local sawmill operations, wood processing facilities, and forest thinning projects.


Board of Supervisors will reconvene at the

X Diamond Ranch, Event Hall, 300 Southfork Road,

Southfork, Arizona

April 17, 2017

3:00 p.m. MST

  1.  County Manager: Discussion regarding the tour of the sawmill operations, wood processing
  2.      facilities and forest thinning projects.
  3. County Manager: House Bill 2066 regarding aggravated DUI, sentencing and use of County
  4.      jail facilities to house incarcerated individuals.
  5. County Manager: Discussion of the 2017-2018 HURF, Jail, and General Fund Budgets.
  6. County Manager: Update and discussion on current and ongoing natural resource issues
  7.      throughout  Apache County.
  8. County Manager: Discussion regarding a proposed firewood program within Apache County.
  9. Sheriff Dedman: Discussion on the possibility of proposing to the Navajo Nation Council, a
  10.      1-2% tax on the Navajo Nation to support County Governmental operations and services on
  11.      Navajo lands.
  12. Treasurer’s Office: Discussion regarding the restructure of the personnel positions within the
  13.      Treasurer’s Office.
  14. County Attorney’s Office: Discussion regarding County purchasing policy, gift clause issues,
  15.      and other matters regarding the expenditure of public funds.
  16. District III Supervisor Doyel Shamley: Update on veteran’s issues.

Diamond X Ranch will host a dinner at 6:00 p.m.
