Building and Safety Division

Currently: Under the 2015 International Residential Code and the 2015 International Building Codes and the 2011 National Electrical Codes, as adopted by the Apache County Board of Supervisors July 2015.The purpose of the Apache County Building Inspections Division is to “establish minimum requirements to safeguard the public safety, health and general welfare, through affordability, structural strength, means of egress facilities, stability, sanitation, light and ventilation, energy conservation and safety to life and property from fire and other hazards attributed to the built environment and to provide safety to fire fighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.” (2015 International Residential Code R101.3).Apache County Building Inspection Division is located on the Second floor of the Apache County Annex Building, at 75 West Cleveland in St. Johns, AZ.

Compliance with the County Building Codes and Zoning Regulations is mandatory for all construction and development in Apache County. Become aware of the regulations and requirements before proceeding with any project.
