NATURE OF WORK:

Under general supervision, performs work in support of the department treatment programs and assists in casework services to assigned juveniles; performs work as required or assigned.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Assists in carrying out the objects and goals of case plans; provides transportation; coordinates and supervises community restitution work projects; assists in the development and implementation of program activities; gather urinalysis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Working knowledge of:

$                   organizational skills;

$                   program goals;

$                   the principles and practices of probation service;

$                   supervision and training;

$                   transportation and restraint procedures.

Working skill in:

$                   use of typewriter and computer;

$                   use of two-way radio and communications;

$                   report writing.

Ability to:

$                   establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public;

$                   follow written and verbal instructions;

$                   communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
