R. John Lee

I am humbled and gratified by the trust placed in me by the citizens of District III. After several months in office, I can see the challenges facing our County. The difficult financial situation facing our nation is not yet felt in Arizona and Apache County. Budget shortfalls caused by decreasing revenues apportioned to our state and county are inevitable. Like families across the nation, we'll have to sit down and budget our available resources in these tough times. I will do my best to identify waste, inefficiency and redundancy to reduce our expenses. My staff and I are working with department heads and county administration to avoid layoffs and reduction of vital services. I feel I have a good working relationship with the other Supervisors. They are men of good will and I look forward to their partnership for the good of our county. Each Tuesday I invite District III citizens to make an appointment to visit with me in my office at the St. Johns County complex.
Annell and Bonnie are available to make your appointment at

Supervisor R. John Lee has always tried to assist the senior centers of our community. In May, 2011, Supervisor Lee helped appropriate LTAF (Local Transportation Assistance Fund) money to purchase a 8-passenger van for the Round Valley Senior Center. Director of the RV Senior Center, Sharon Pinckard also was presented with a $2,500.00 check to help with maintenance, fuel costs, and upkeep of the van. Supervisor Lee would like to thank the residents of Apache County for helping support the senior centers both in Springerville and in St. Johns. “It is very important to remember our senior citizens and to help keep the communication between all of our residents”, says Supervisor Lee.
