Our Mission is to promote and provide quality services through public health education and prevention programs that reflect the ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the communities we serve.

To reduce infant mortality.
To increase early entry into prenatal care for women who are pregnant.
To reduce injury and deaths to children due to motor vehicle crashes.
To reduce obesity among women and children.
To monitor dental health status to identify community dental health problems.
To provide health education in schools that promotes healthy lifestyles.
Link community members to needed personal health services.
To assess the needs of the communities within Apache County and to obtain funding to implement programs based on the needs.
Collaborate and network with agencies to improve and build a healthier community.

The Apache County Public Health Services District has been awarded a grant # 2012-OP-001 to provide occupant protection services for southern and northern Apache County. Funding will allow for 200 child restraints and other materials to be purchased and distributed through the child passenger safety program. The funding is provided through the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
