The Apache County Public Health Services District is comprised of 29 full-time and 10 part-time employees who administer over twenty separate public health programs. The District is divided into five divisions each responsible for various services.

Our Mission is to provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive, quality community health resources. To this end, we focus on serving the community through programs aimed at public health prevention and education, public health emergency preparedness, clinical services, and environmental health.

Diagnose and investigate health problems and hazards in the community.
Inform, educate, and empower people about health issues and lifestyle changes.
Mobilize community partnerships to identify and solve health problems.
Improve the community's ability to respond to disaster.
Develop policies and plans that support individual and community health efforts.
Enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety.
Link people to needed personal health services and assure the provision of health care when otherwise unavailable.
Assure a competent public health care workforce.
Evaluate effectiveness, accessibility, and quality of personal and population based health services.
Research for new insights for innovative solutions to health problems.
