Senator Kyle meets with County Officials

August 14, 2012, Supervisor R. John Lee of District met Senator Jon Kyle to discuss the County’s progress from the Wallow Fire. Senator Kyle thanked Apache County for all that was done during the fire. Senator Kyle asked if there was anything that he could help promote toward flood mitigation. The EPA matter was also discussed and
Supervisor Lee asked for the Senator’s support and stopping the EPA in opposing in regulations to the power plants. The Senator stated he was working on that issue as best as he can and he hopes that things will change in the next election.
All parties discussed the stewardship project west of Greer, Arizona; the cutting project and possible FEMA grants.
Also attending the meeting were Rob Toy, CMI Engineering Project Manager; Delwin Wengert, Apache County Manager, Ferrin Crosby, Apache County Engineering and Brannon Eagar, Chief Deputy Sheriff.
