The Planning and Zoning Commission, established according to
A.R.S. § 11-803, consists of nine members who serve four-year terms without compensation. The Commission’s duties include the following:
- Creating, recommending, and amending a Comprehensive Plan;
- Developing the Zoning Ordinance;
- Developing and adopting regulations governing the division of land; and
- Reviewing applications for subdivisions, zone changes, and conditional use permits.
Apache County Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are usually held the first Thursday of every month at 1:00 p.m. The public meetings are held in the Board of Supervisors Room, Apache County Annex Building, 75 West Cleveland, St. Johns, Arizona. Agendas are posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting and will be available in the Community Development Department. Notice of a "special" meeting will also be posted. |
