APACHE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS,

Call to the Public. 

1.  A/D  CONSENT ITEMS: All items indicated by an asterisk (*) will be handled by a Single vote as part of the consent agenda, unless a Board Member, County Manager or member of the public objects at the time the agenda item is called. 
 
County Manager/Clerk of the Board:

*A.  Approval of Minutes dated September 4, 2012.
 
*B.  Request approval of the demands.

Human Resources: 

*C.  Chinle Justice Court: Request authorization to hire a temporary Justice Court Clerk I at $8.83 per hour, not to exceed 30 days.
                                   
*D.  District I: Request authorization to extend the temporary employment of Alvin Jumbo, Road Worker I, Raymond Totsoni, Facilities & Construction Worker I and Randy Bia, Road Worker II through December 31 , 2012. 

*E.  Superior Court: Request authorization to convert the vacant full-time Justice Court Clerk II position to a part-time Justice Court Clerk I and fill the vacancy. This position is funded by non-general fund monies.  
    
*F.  District II: request authorization to extend the temporary employment for Wacey Begaye for an additional 60 days.

*G.  District II: Request authorization to convert the currently vacant Equipment Mechanic II (range 20) to an Equipment Mechanic III (range 31) and fill the vacancy.

*H.  District II: Request authorization to hire a temporary Administrative Assistant I not to exceed 120 days.

*I.  Recorder's Office: Request authorization to extend the temporary employment of Betty Coplan for an additional 30 days, utilizing the Recorder's Surcharge fund.

*J.  Probation Services: Request authorization to remove Jodi Torres from probationary status effective September 1, 2012 with the 2.5% end of probation increase.

*K.  Probation Services: Request authorization to extend the employment of the Summer Intern at the current rate of pay through December 31, 2012.
  
Engineering Department:

*L.  District II: Request authorization to accept the donation of a transit vehicle from the Navajo Nation.

*M.  District III, Round Valley Road Yard: Request to repair a John Deere motor grader utilizing R.D.O. Equipment as a sole source vendor in the amount of $13,882.76.
  
2.  A/D  Engineering Department: Request approval to award Bid #201304#2 for a new Semi-truck tractor for District I.

3.  A/D  Engineering Department: Request authorization to award Bid #201305 for rebar For County Road 5020 project. 

4.  A/D  Election Department: Request approval to cancel the special district elections and appoint persons who filed the required paperwork to fill the positions for the following districts: Ganado Fire District, Greer Fire District, Nutrioso Fire District, Puerco Fire District, Vernon Fire District, Ojo Bonito Water District, and Little Colorado Sanitary District.   

5.  A/D  Election Department: Request approval to cancel the school elections and appoint the persons who filed the required paperwork to fill the positions for the following schools: Alpine Elementary School #7; 1 four year term, Round Valley Unified School District #10; 1 two year term, McNary Elementary School District #23; 2 two year terms, Chinle Unified School District #24; 3 four year terms, Red Mesa Unified School District #27; 3 four year terms, N.A.T.I.V.E. 3 four year terms N.A.V.I.T. 2 two year terms.   

6.  A/D  Sheriff's Office: Request authorization to enter into a one (1) year renewal lease agreement with Sander's Unified School District #18 for the use of the Apache County Sheriff's Office Sub-office.

7.  A/D  Diane Vosick and Wayne Fox, Northern Arizona University: Presentation on the findings of the Work Force Study to the Four Forest Restoration Initiative (4FRI) Counties.

APACHE COUNTY FLOOD CONROL DISTRICT 
HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
September 18, 2012

1.  A/D     Request approval to use Apache County Flood Control District funds to complete (5) projects totaling $63,028.33 for the Town of Eagar.
