APACHE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, THE
APACHE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES DISTRICT,
THE APACHE COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT,
AND THE APACHE COUNTY JAIL DISTRICT

Call to the Public. 

1.  A/D Supervisor John Lee: Report on the meeting with the United States Forestry Department regarding the fire break between Alpine and Big Lake within Apache County.
 
2.  A/D CONSENT ITEMS: All items indicated by an asterisk (*) will be handled by a single vote as part of the consent agenda, unless a Board Member, County Manager, or member of the public objects at the time the agenda item is called.

County Manager/Clerk of the Board:

*A.  Request approval of minutes dated January 17, 2012.
  
*B. Request approval of the demands.

Human Resources: 

*C.  District II: Request authorization to extend the temporary employment of Raymond Tsosie for an additional 120 days paid by HURF.

*D.  District I: Request authorization to extend the temporary employment of Randy Bia and additional 90 days.

*E.  District I: Request authorization to convert the currently vacant position of Economic Development Director, range 56, to an Executive Assistant, range 33 and fill the vacancy.

*F.  Request authorization to modify the Table 3 to adjust the range of the position of District Manager from a range 54 to a range 57 and to adjust the range of Facilities and Construction Supervisor from a range 37 to a range 42. 

*G.  Probation Department: Request authorization to remove Lyanne Goodluck from probationary status, effective December 29, 2011 and Christina Long, effective January 3, 2012 both with the 2.5% end of probation increase.  
   
*H.  District III, Chambers Road Yard: Request authorization to remove Mervyn Begay from probationary status, effective February 1, 2012 with the 2.5% end of probation increase.

3.  A/D  Sheriff's Office: Request approval of Grant Agreement EMW-2011-EP-00006 between the Emergency Management Performance Grant and the Apache County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $125,185 and is a 50/50 match utilizing Emergency Management funds.

4.  A/D  Sheriff's Office: Request approval of Grant Agreement between the State of Arizona Game and Fish Department and the Apache County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $55,000.

5.  A/D  Sheriff's Office: Request authorization to solicit bids for central heating/cooling for the Patterson/ACCENT Building.

6.  A/D  Sheriff's Office: Request approval of Hazardous Materials (HMEP) between the Arizona Emergency Response Commission and the Apache County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $1,500.

7.  A/D  Engineering Department: Request authorization to repair a Caterpillar truck e engine for the St. Johns Road Yard utilizing Empire Machinery. This is a sole source repair using carryover funds.
 
8.  A/D  County Attorney's Office: Consideration and possible approval of an updated resolution and recorded document vacating and relinquishing former county roads located within  the town boundaries of the Town of Springerville.

9.  A/D  Sue Hall, Clerk of the Court: Presentation on the history of the Apache County Clerk of the Court's Office.

10. A/D  Notification of the Small Counties Forum meeting on February 15, 2012 at the County Supervisors Association (CSA) Complex, 1905 W. Washington St. Suite 100 in Phoenix, Arizona at 6:00 pm followed by the County Supervisors Association meeting on February 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at the CSA Complex 1905 W. Washington St., Suite 100 in Phoenix, Arizona.

1.  A/D  Request approval of Contract #MRC12 2107 with the National Association of County and City Health Officials to build the capacity of local Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units.

HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
February 7, 2012

1.  A/D  Request authorization to award the bid for the prevention of delamination of faux Stone at the Round Valley Public Library to Hunsaker Bros., Inc. in the amount of $24,340.51.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND AGENDA
APACHE COUNTY JAIL DISTRICT 
HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
February 7, 2012

1.  A/D  Request approval to purchase a prisoner transport vehicle at a cost not to exceed $75,000 from Braun Northwest, a State Contract vendor. The purchase will be paid from Southwest Border funds.    

2.  A/D  Request authorization to amend the contract with Offender Watch to include community notification.

3.  A/D  Request approval to remove Timothy Sykes and Susan Finerd effective January 31, 2012 with the 2.5% end of probation increase.
